Dr. Kirby, a Texas native, has been in Wichita almost 8 years and enjoying it (especially the weather)!
Dr Kirby has had a career in nutrition and biochemical research, education, and nutritional medicine over a span of 40 years.
Her interest in nutrition and whole foods originated in Hereford, Texas, during the founding of Arrowhead Mills and carried through into her schooling at the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and medical school at Texas Tech.
Dr. Kirby enjoyed the opportunity to learn about biochemical individuality and the nutritional teamwork approach to health and disease from working under Dr. Roger J. Williams, who discovered vitamin B5, pantothenic acid.
This understanding of each individual’s nutrient requirements is at the heart of nutritional medicine as practiced at the Vis Clinic. Dr. Kirby has enjoyed working with individuals on their journey to better health and is excited about continuing this work through the holistic approach at the Vis Clinic.
